Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking a senior-level Project Engineer to support industrial building work at the Kiewit Offshore Services yard in Ingleside, Texas. The position offers exposure to project management and advancement through mentoring and leadership opportunities.

Project Details

Kiewit Building Group delivers vertical construction across industrial facilities, offices, education and sports venues, healthcare, hospitality, transportation, manufacturing, retail, technology, and tenant improvement projects. The role is based at the Ingleside offshore services yard and may lead to future assignments in other locations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subcontractor field performance, contract compliance, quality control, and field coordination.
• Interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents while identifying discrepancies, field issues, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain project schedules, coordinate updates with project management, and support document control and closeout.
• Track drawing revisions and changes, assess their impacts, and communicate updates to field personnel.
• Prepare monthly cost forecasts and quarterly cash-flow projections.
• Improve project procedures, coordinate work across multiple projects, and train junior engineers and project staff.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• At least five years of construction or engineering experience, preferably in vertical construction.
• At least two years managing engineers and project subcontractors.
• Ability to review plans, specifications, and contract documents for discrepancies and compliance.
• Strong communication, organization, initiative, integrity, teamwork, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to travel or relocate for future assignments and work overtime or weekends when required.
