Project Engineer Entry-Level

Job Summary

Lunda Construction, a Tutor Perini company, is hiring an entry-level Project Engineer for its Rosemount, Minnesota office. The role supports project teams and field execution across civil construction work.

Project Details

Lunda works on heavy highway, civil, and industrial projects. Its portfolio includes bridges, highway improvements, and transit extensions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, superintendents, field staff, design partners, and subcontractors.
• Assist with project layout, work planning, schedule coordination, and identification of critical work items and long-lead materials.
• Interpret plans and specifications, review shop drawings and subcontractor scopes, and verify completed work against requirements.
• Support billing, cash-flow forecasts, change orders, RFIs, quantity takeoffs, and QA/QC coordination.
• Help maintain safety compliance through inspections and other safety initiatives.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering field.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; construction or heavy civil experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safety and quality.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $65,000-$80,000, depending on experience.
