Project Engineer II for heavy civil and highway construction

Sundt is seeking a Project Engineer II to support construction project execution, coordinate technical information, and work with project partners. The role is intended for an experienced engineer and may include helping supervise or train Field Engineers.

Project Details

Work includes heavy civil, highway, and/or structures projects. Travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement schedules, materials, equipment, submittals, and project schedules.
• Administer contract documents, cost controls, project records, closeout requirements, and change orders.
• Support quantity tracking, takeoffs, project meetings, and project team development.
• Identify and address potential claims and help keep project execution on track.

Required Experience

• Four-year construction-related degree, or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• Three to four years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, with strong communication and team leadership skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual pay range of $88,000-$140,000. Benefits include bonus eligibility, employee stock ownership plan, 401(k), health coverage, flexible time off, insurance, wellness programs, and educational assistance.
