Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring Project Engineers at Levels I and II to coordinate field issues and support project teams. Candidates may be considered for either level based on their experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Interpret plans and specifications for subcontractors and craft teams, and coordinate field issues.
Manage permits, quality documentation, inspections, testing, submittals, contract documents, RFIs, change orders, and as-built records.
Coordinate subcontractor requirements and payment requests, and support team development through coaching and feedback.

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or equivalent experience.
Two years of related experience for Level I or three years for Level II.
Current driver’s license; detail orientation and ability to manage multiple project tasks.
Basic knowledge of construction law and business practices, strong communication and teamwork skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web applications.

Compensation and Benefits

Level I base pay is $84,100-$113,500; Level II base pay is $93,400-$126,100. Pay ranges are adjusted upward for specified office locations, and the role is eligible for an incentive plan.
