Project Engineer II

Job Summary

Mortenson seeks a Project Engineer II in McAllen, Texas, to help resolve field coordination issues and support project teams.

Responsibilities

• Explain plans and specifications to subcontractors and craft teams, and oversee quality planning, testing, and inspections.
• Coordinate permits, project expenses, material and inspection logs, contract documents, RFIs, and submittals.
• Support project closeout and as-built updates, guide field engineers, coordinate safety compliance, and track schedules.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management.
• At least three years of related construction experience.
• Strong organization, communication, teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving skills; basic knowledge of construction law and business practices.
• Current driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $93,400–$126,100, and the role is eligible for an incentive plan.
