Project Engineer II - Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Project Engineer II in Frederick, Maryland, to support field coordination and help resolve project issues with the construction team.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans and specifications for subcontractors and craft teams, and manage quality inspections and testing.
• Track materials, inspections, concrete placements, non-conformance reports, permits, fees, and project documents.
• Coordinate submittals and RFIs, support project closeout, and maintain as-built records.
• Guide field engineers, coordinate safety and compliance, and help keep project activities on schedule.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management.
• At least three years of related construction experience.
• Strong organization, communication, teamwork, initiative, and problem-solving skills; basic knowledge of construction law and business practices.
• Current driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $93,400-$126,100, with adjustments for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision and dental coverage, a 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, insurance, tuition reimbursement, and other programs.
