Job Summary

Kiewit's TIC Power District is seeking a mid-level Project Engineer to support field operations and project delivery for power-generation construction. The role offers hands-on responsibility across engineering, project controls, craft coordination, safety, quality, and contract administration.

Project Details

TIC Power performs non-union direct-hire construction for major EPC power projects throughout North America, including cogeneration, combined-cycle, geothermal, and waste-to-energy facilities. Assignments may be based in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, or Virginia, with relocation determined by project needs and career development plans.

Responsibilities

  • Support interpretation of drawings, specifications, work packages, surveys, layouts, quantity tracking, and as-built documentation.
  • Coordinate document control, quality inspections, safety meetings, job hazard analyses, labor reporting, materials, and work schedules.
  • Assist with subcontractor oversight, field supervision, procurement, subcontracts, project records, RFIs, reports, cost tracking, and change orders.
  • Prepare material takeoffs, engineering calculations, technical documentation, schedule updates, and estimating reviews.

Required Experience

  • At least three years of field experience in electrical, mechanical, or piping work on construction or industrial projects.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications and use Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong organization, communication, time management, attention to detail, independence, and teamwork.
  • Ability to relocate and travel, work overtime and weekends as needed, and access construction sites in varied climates and conditions.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
