Job Summary

Black & Veatch is hiring a Project Engineering Manager for its Water & Wastewater practice in Kansas City, Missouri. This role oversees the engineering execution of multiple municipal water and wastewater projects across traditional, design-build, and collaborative delivery methods.

Project Details

Projects span advanced treatment facilities, underground conveyance systems, and carbon-neutral water solutions for municipal clients. Black & Veatch is a top-ranked ENR Water Design Firm across water supply, sewer, and related categories.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-discipline engineering teams on high-profile municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare complex engineering deliverables, calculations, and equipment recommendations.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
• Serve as responsible charge for assigned projects and coordinate cross-discipline activities.
• Interface directly with clients to identify priorities, communicate concerns, and manage project changes.
• Mentor and manage engineering staff, including performance reviews and growth planning.
• Support business development and project pursuit activities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience.
• PE license preferred.
• Prior engineering consulting experience preferred.
• Experience executing multi-discipline WTP and WWTP upgrade and expansion projects preferred.
