About the role
Job Summary
Ames Construction is seeking a Project Manager to guide construction projects from planning through completion, coordinating teams and resources to deliver work safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Project Details
This role is based in Belle Glade, Florida, and calls for experience in highway heavy construction.
Responsibilities
- Promote safety and lead project engineers, superintendents, and other project staff.
- Monitor progress, budgets, project needs, schedules, and cash flow with operations leaders.
- Communicate with owners and represent the project at meetings and site walks.
- Secure approvals for scope, budget, and schedule changes; manage change orders and monthly billings.
- Coordinate equipment and staffing with regional and site teams.
Required Experience
- Three years of highway heavy construction experience as a Project Engineer or Construction Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver’s license, strong communication and attention to detail, and interest in mentoring and career development.
