Job Summary

Lead planning, execution, and delivery of heavy civil infrastructure projects from Ames Construction’s Salt Lake City-area office.

Project Details

Ames delivers heavy civil and industrial work, including highways, bridges, mines, dams, and rail projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct project phases and manage safety, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Lead and coordinate project engineers, superintendents, construction managers, staff, and equipment needs.
• Maintain owner and client relationships, represent the project at meetings, and provide progress updates.
• Track budgets, prepare billings and cash flow projections, process change orders, and secure approvals and permits.
• Use scheduling software to monitor progress and maintain project schedules.
• Prepare project documentation, including inspection and testing records, quality reports, and punch lists; order needed supplies and equipment.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field.
• At least five years of heavy civil construction management experience.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
• Proficiency with MS Office and construction or project management software.
• Strong organization, time management, problem-solving, and budgeting skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
