Job Summary

The Christman Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial construction projects in the Detroit region. The role is primarily site-based and may involve extended hours and weekends.

Manage large-scale commercial construction projects in the Detroit area.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, staffing, schedules, budgets, risk, and change processes.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal project-planning teams.
• Lead bid processes, subcontract agreements, trade coordination, and project documentation.
• Promote jobsite safety and address unsafe conditions with the project team.
• Support business development and project pursuits through client relationships and professional networks.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least five years of commercial construction experience in a leadership role with progressive responsibility.
• Training or coursework in construction management, project management, safety, or communication.
• Strong planning, scheduling, cost-control, communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
