Project Manager

Job Summary

Nordic PCL Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead infrastructure construction projects across Hawaii, with opportunities based in Honolulu, Kailua-Kona, or Kihei. The role oversees project delivery from planning through closeout while supporting a strong safety culture and collaborative project team.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract administration, project execution, budgets, schedules, quality, and safety requirements.
• Develop safety plans, monitor performance, and provide reporting on costs and schedule progress.
• Negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders, revisions, and progress payments while tracking trade partner performance.
• Interpret and enforce contract documents, manage project risks and opportunities, and support commissioning and closeout.
• Evaluate value engineering opportunities and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and decision makers.
• For design-build work, coordinate design progress, constructability, quality audits, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Five to eight years of progressive construction experience; leadership and mentoring experience preferred.
• Knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, construction law, building codes, and safety and quality practices.
• Strong planning, organization, time management, budget, and scheduling skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, project management, and scheduling software, with the ability to adopt new technology.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual salary is $113,700-$170,500, depending on experience and qualifications.
