Project Manager - Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Project Manager to guide project delivery, support team development, and maintain strong customer relationships. Candidates may qualify at Project Manager 1 or 2 based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage project finances, forecasts, budgets, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, and owner billings.
• Lead and develop assistant project managers and project engineers, assign work, and approve team timecards.
• Serve as the primary owner contact, address site concerns, and manage change orders.
• Maintain the project schedule and oversee quality, risk, safety, and compliance.

Required Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Project Manager 1: at least six years of construction management or related experience.
• Project Manager 2: at least seven years of construction management or related experience, including large projects valued at $20 million or more.
• Experience handling complex projects, construction law and business practices, and intermediate Microsoft Office and project application skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges are $113,500-$170,300 for Project Manager 1 and $132,100-$198,200 for Project Manager 2. The first assignment is in New Mexico, with the option to move to Denver after project completion. Location-based adjustments apply in certain markets.
