Project Manager (Higher Education)

Project Details

The role focuses on large or complex higher education construction projects, including design-build delivery when applicable. Responsibilities span contract administration, project execution, design coordination, commissioning, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Direct construction activities to meet design, budget, quality, resource, and schedule requirements.
• Administer contracts, negotiate subcontracts and purchase orders, and monitor payment and schedule performance.
• Lead project safety planning, risk management, forecasting, and performance reporting.
• Coordinate design quality, constructability, stakeholder communication, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• Supervise, coach, train, and mentor project team members and coordinate trade performance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
• 10-15 years of progressive construction experience, including higher education projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, specifications, building codes, contract law, safety, and quality management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, resources, risks, staffing, and project stakeholders.
• Experience leading teams and working with Microsoft Office, project management, and scheduling software.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual salary is $130,000-$160,000, with final compensation based on experience and qualifications.
