Project Manager I & II

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring Project Managers at Level I or II to oversee project delivery, support team development, and build strong customer relationships. The role is open to candidates whose qualifications align with either level.

Responsibilities

• Manage project finances, forecasts, budgets, contracts, invoices, billings, and change orders.
• Select and oversee trade partners and suppliers while tracking project schedule, quality, safety, risk, and compliance.
• Lead and develop assistant project managers and project engineers, assign work, approve timecards, and provide performance feedback.
• Serve as the primary contact for owners and site representatives, review agreements, and address project concerns.

Required Experience

• Construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management degree, or equivalent experience.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Project Manager I: At least six years of construction management or related experience.
• Project Manager II: At least seven years of construction management or related experience, including large projects valued at $20 million or more.
• Experience managing complex projects, working knowledge of construction law and business practices, and intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web application skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges are $113,500–$170,300 for Project Manager I and $132,100–$198,200 for Project Manager II, with location-based adjustments for select offices. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
