Project Manager I & II

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring Project Managers at levels I and II to guide project delivery, support team development, and strengthen customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, forecasts, subcontractors, supplier selections, cost codes, invoices, billings, and contract buyouts.
• Lead and develop assistant project managers and project engineers, assign work, review performance, and approve site-team timecards.
• Serve as the primary contact for owners and site representatives, address concerns, and manage change orders through approval.
• Maintain project schedule and budget while overseeing quality, risk, safety, and compliance.

Required Experience

• Degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Project Manager I: at least six years of construction management or related experience.
• Project Manager II: at least seven years of construction management or related experience, including large projects.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Experience handling complex projects, knowledge of construction law and business practices, and intermediate Microsoft Office and project application skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $113,500–$170,300 for Project Manager I and $132,100–$198,200 for Project Manager II, with location-based adjustments in certain cities. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
