Job Summary

Kiewit is seeking a senior Engineering Project Manager in Columbus to lead power delivery design work for utility and transmission and distribution clients. The role combines technical leadership, project execution, team coordination, and client engagement.

Project Details

The team delivers engineering and design services for transmission, substation, distribution, automation, renewable energy, and related utility infrastructure projects across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple engineering projects, staffing plans, schedules, budgets, risks, changes, and quality deliverables.
  • Lead engineers, designers, consultants, and multidisciplinary design teams through project execution.
  • Coordinate work planning, labor-hour development, project controls, design reviews, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain relationships with owners and design partners while supporting client objectives.
  • Develop team capabilities through mentoring and technical staff development.

Required Experience

  • At least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or comparable related experience.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager, Design Manager, or Engineering Manager with responsibility for engineering, estimating, contracts, and client relations.
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction standards, scheduling, contracts, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and project administration tools.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is strongly preferred.
