Project Safety Manager

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Safety Manager in West Palm Beach to lead safety oversight and support safe execution on an assigned construction project.

Responsibilities

• Help develop the project safety plan and participate in preconstruction and pre-task planning.
• Monitor safety performance, conduct inspections and audits, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide safety training, facilitate safety committees, and support regulatory compliance.
• Review incident investigations, maintain safety records and permits, and coordinate safety activities with the Project Manager.
• Conduct industrial hygiene assessments and support OSHA inspection readiness.
• Promote stop-work authority and practical improvements to jobsite safety.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Strong judgment, communication, organization, problem-solving, coaching, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn project-specific software.
