Project Safety Manager (Traveling)

Job Summary

EPI Power is seeking a traveling Project Safety Manager to provide field safety leadership for data center electrical construction projects in Des Moines, Iowa. This role works six days per week, Monday through Saturday, for approximately 58 hours weekly.

Project Details

EPI Power specializes in fast-track electrical construction for data centers. The Safety Manager will support an assigned project and coordinate safety efforts across the jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Help develop the project safety plan and support preconstruction and pre-task planning.
• Monitor safety performance, inspections, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver project-wide safety training and facilitate safety committees.
• Support incident investigations, safety audits, industrial hygiene assessments, and required documentation.
• Coordinate safety activities with the Project Manager and enforce stop-work authority for unsafe conditions.
• Maintain records including hot work, GFCI, confined space, and excavation permits.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification is required.
• Strong judgment, communication, organization, coaching, conflict-resolution, and public-speaking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn project-specific software.
