Senior Project Superintendent - Data Center (Traveling)

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent to lead field operations for traveling data center projects in Boling, Texas, as part of its Mission Critical team.

Project Details

This role supports data center construction and requires travel to project locations. The superintendent will oversee subcontractors, field personnel, scheduling, cost control, quality, safety, and overall project execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontractors, field forces, and daily construction activities.
• Maintain site safety, quality standards, project schedules, budgets, and cost reports.
• Develop resource plans and two-week look-ahead schedules using computerized scheduling tools.
• Coordinate subcontractor performance, inspections, issue resolution, and contract compliance.
• Support major subcontractor buyout and selection activities.
• Communicate with project managers, owners, designers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Mentor and develop team members while building strong internal and external relationships.

Required Experience

• At least 8 years of project superintendent experience.
• Commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
• Data center construction experience is strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Strong organization, leadership, communication, relationship-building, and business skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, along with the ability to learn project-specific software.
