Project Superintendent - Building Group

Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is hiring a Project Superintendent to lead field operations for advanced technology and industrial building projects in the El Paso, Texas/Santa Teresa, New Mexico area. The role oversees safety, quality, productivity, cost control, scheduling, and coordination across multiple construction disciplines.

Project Details

The Building Group delivers office buildings, industrial complexes, education and sports facilities, hospitality, healthcare, transportation terminals, manufacturing, retail, technology facilities, and tenant improvements through general construction, construction management, design-build, and related delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft supervision and evaluate productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate field engineering, subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers, and other superintendents.
• Plan labor, materials, equipment, work sequencing, and short- and long-range schedules.
• Monitor inspections, quality standards, cost controls, job safety training, and compliance with project procedures.
• Resolve workforce, scheduling, and coordination issues while communicating significant matters to project leadership.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction experience, including three or more years in a supervisory role.
• Previous vertical building experience and general contractor experience overseeing subcontractors and trade partners.
• Working knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, jurisdictional requirements, safety rules, scheduling, cost control, and construction documents.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to relocate or travel, work onsite, and work overtime or weekends when project needs require.
