Safety Manager - Data Center Construction

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety programs and compliance efforts for data center construction work in Milwaukee.

Project Details

This role supports data center construction projects and broader construction operations, including project safety planning, inspections, regulatory coordination, and client proposal support.

Responsibilities

• Advise business and project teams on safety regulations, procedures, workers' compensation requirements, and best practices.
• Conduct construction site inspections, facilitate corrective actions, and support OSHA and third-party inspections.
• Coordinate safety committees, training, incident investigations, safety accountability reviews, and project safety plans.
• Perform industrial hygiene assessments, including noise and air monitoring.
• Represent the business in safety-related hearings and support vehicle safety and drug and alcohol policy administration.

Required Experience

• At least four years of construction safety experience in a formal safety role.
• Data center construction experience is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, technical writing, coaching, conflict resolution, leadership, and public speaking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software.
