Safety Manager I - Wind Electrical Program Trainer

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Safety Manager I to guide safety efforts across multiple construction teams and sites, with a focus on electrical safety training and program development.

Project Details

The position supports multiple project sites and develops site-specific electrical safety programs, including work connected with a wind electrical program.

Responsibilities

• Guide implementation of the company safety program across project sites.
• Help project teams develop electrical safety plans and activities.
• Identify training needs and deliver orientations, electrical instruction, and train-the-trainer sessions.
• Review safety submittals, join subcontractor preparation meetings, and mentor safety personnel.
• Track safety and hazard data, conduct site audits, assist with incident analysis, and monitor subcontractor safety.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in safety, occupational health, or equivalent, plus at least six years of construction safety experience; an alternative qualification route includes a high school diploma, CHST, OSHA 500, and ten years of construction experience leading crews and planning work.
• Electrical program development experience is required.
• Six years of dedicated construction safety experience managing project programs, hazard analyses, controls, training, and work planning, or equivalent experience.
• CSP is preferred. A current driver's license and ability to use Microsoft Office and relevant safety software are also required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $100,100-$150,200, with higher ranges for specified office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
