Job Summary

EPI Power, a Weitz Company subsidiary focused on fast-track electrical construction, is seeking a traveling Safety Manager to provide regional safety leadership for data center construction operations in the Houston area.

Project Details

The role supports electrical construction and data center projects, including preconstruction safety planning, project inspections, industrial hygiene assessments, and regulatory coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Implement company safety standards, monitor regulatory developments, and advise business leaders on safety programs and work practices.
  • Conduct jobsite inspections, verify corrective actions, support OSHA and third-party inspections, and represent the business in safety-related hearings.
  • Lead safety training, safety committee activities, incident investigation reviews, and organization-wide communication of safety practices.
  • Prepare project safety plans, support proposals, perform industrial hygiene monitoring, and reinforce stop-work authority.
  • Support vehicle safe-driver and drug-and-alcohol policy administration.

Required Experience

  • At least four years of construction safety experience in a formal safety role.
  • Data center construction experience is preferred.
  • CHST, ASP, CSP, or applicable occupational or environmental health and safety experience is required.
  • NCCER and OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 credentials are preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, technical writing, coaching, conflict-resolution, organizational, and presentation skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software are expected.

Compensation and Benefits
