Safety Specialist 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Safety Specialist 2 in Denver to coordinate field safety activities on routine and increasingly complex construction projects. The role supports project teams by identifying hazards, improving compliance, and advancing site safety performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, orientations, and compliance reviews.
• Document hazards, track corrective actions, and monitor subcontractor and prime contractor safety programs.
• Participate in project planning and safety meetings, support safety committees, and advise field leadership.
• Assist with incident investigations, injury coordination, return-to-work efforts, and insurance audits.
• Analyze safety trends and recommend measures to prevent recurring issues.
• Provide safety guidance and training to project and safety personnel.

Required Experience

• At least 2 years of construction safety experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, health, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, local, and company safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction technology, and safety management systems.
• Ability to recognize hazards, implement corrective measures, communicate effectively, and collaborate with project teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $80,000-$100,000, depending on experience, with eligibility for a target performance bonus. The position is classified as professional non-union and includes the company’s professional benefits package.
