Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Safety Specialist 2 to coordinate and implement field safety programs on routine and increasingly complex industrial and manufacturing construction projects in Social Circle, Georgia.

Project Details

The Advanced Facilities Group supports large industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor construction projects for innovative clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and audits, document hazards, and track corrective actions through company safety systems.
• Lead project orientations, support drug and alcohol policy compliance, and monitor contractor safety programs.
• Participate in project planning and safety meetings, support safety committees, and assist with accident investigations.
• Coordinate injury treatment and return-to-work efforts while preparing progress reports.
• Perform safety trend analysis, recommend mitigation strategies, and provide training on basic and intermediate safety topics.
• Support insurance audits and oversee safety activities on complex or multiple projects.

Required Experience

• At least two years of construction safety experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a safety or health-related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, local, and company safety regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, construction technology, safety software, and related processes.
• Ability to identify hazardous conditions, implement corrective measures, analyze trends, communicate effectively, and collaborate with project teams.
