Senior IT Project Manager

Job Summary

Mortenson seeks a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex strategic technology initiatives that support company goals and span multiple business functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage initiatives from planning through delivery, including scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate internal IT teams, business groups, executives, vendors, and software partners.
• Track project health, plan risk responses, and communicate program status to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Contribute to portfolio management practices and provide expertise in project delivery and financial management.
• Lead and coach team members and build effective cross-functional partnerships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of IT and business or industry experience, including five years managing large IT, operational, or business transformation programs.
• Experience with Agile, SDLC, or Waterfall methods; cross-functional delivery; stakeholder management; and project financial controls.
• Experience with build and buy delivery approaches, such as SaaS, mobile applications, custom solutions, or ERP systems.
• Ability to travel up to 25%; construction, ITIL, service-level management, and process improvement experience are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $121,900–$182,900, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, dental, retirement matching, paid time off, insurance, tuition reimbursement, and other programs.
