Senior MEP Project Manager I & II

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager at Level I or II to lead mechanical, electrical, and plumbing project work, guide project teams, maintain customer relationships, and deliver safe, high-quality results.

Project Details

The role supports medium to large MEP projects, including data center work, from development through closeout. Responsibilities include coordination, commissioning, financial oversight, subcontractor management, and project turnover.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3-D coordination, conflict resolution, commissioning, testing, and closeout activities.
• Manage project budgets, projections, invoicing, change orders, contracts, and supplier relationships.
• Oversee quality, risk, safety, compliance, and owner communications.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil, architectural, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or equivalent field experience.
• Senior MEP Project Manager I requires at least eight years of construction management experience, preferably with a mechanical or electrical contractor.
• Senior MEP Project Manager II requires at least ten years of construction management experience and five years of data center construction experience.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office, project management, and relevant web application skills are required.
• Current driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 100% are required.

Compensation and Benefits

Level I base pay is $144,300-$216,500 per year. Level II base pay is $158,900-$238,400 per year. Certain office locations offer higher ranges, and the position is eligible for an incentive plan.
