Senior Project Manager - Aviation

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Phoenix to lead aviation construction work and manage project teams, stakeholders, budgets, schedules, quality, and profitability. The role may oversee multiple medium-sized projects or one large, complex assignment.

Project Details

The position focuses on aviation construction, with related commercial construction experience preferred. Relocation to the project site is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and establish goals, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Manage contracts, budgets, schedules, procurement, risk, safety, quality, and project reporting.
• Coordinate preconstruction, buyout, subcontractor and vendor activities, change orders, claims, and closeout.
• Maintain relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings, resolve disputes, support business development, and pursue value engineering opportunities.
• Develop and mentor project team members.

Required Experience

• Industry-related college degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years of construction experience, including project management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success leading, teaching, developing, and mentoring others.
• Experience with commercial construction is preferred; aviation, processing, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, or emerging-market experience is valuable.
• Experience with or ability to learn JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, and P6; Microsoft Office proficiency required.
