Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead aviation construction work on-site in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The role manages project administration, field execution, financial performance, quality, safety, and stakeholder relationships.

This position supports an aviation project in Steamboat Springs and requires relocation for the project duration. Candidates should bring general contractor experience in aviation and commercial construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct project teams and maintain alignment with company procedures, contracts, budgets, and project goals.
• Manage risk, schedules, procurement, long-lead items, subcontractor scopes, change orders, and project closeout.
• Oversee safety planning, inspections, compliance reviews, quality issues, and delivery tracking.
• Lead preconstruction, buyout, project meetings, owner reporting, billing, financial reviews, and claims resolution.
• Support business development and foster productive relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel.
• Develop, mentor, and evaluate team members while promoting accountability and collaboration.

Required Experience

• Industry-related college degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 10 years of construction experience, including project management responsibility.
• Demonstrated success leading, teaching, developing, and mentoring others.
• Experience with commercial construction is preferred; aviation, processing, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, or emerging-market experience is valued.
• Experience with or ability to learn JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, or P6; Microsoft Office proficiency is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $160,000-$200,000, with a bonus program, comprehensive health benefits with HSA and FSA options, disability and life insurance, paid time off, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave, and wellness programs.
