Senior Project Manager - Data Center Construction - (Traveling)

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a data center construction project in Boling, Texas. This role directs project delivery, financial performance, stakeholder coordination, and team development from preconstruction through completion.

Project Details

The position supports the company’s Mission Critical team on a commercial data center project and requires travel.

Responsibilities

• Direct complex construction projects while managing schedule, budget, quality, safety, and scope.
• Lead project teams, coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Develop project plans, schedules, forecasts, status reports, budgets, and financial risk assessments.
• Manage procurement, buyout, subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, long-lead materials, and owner billings.
• Identify risks and constructability concerns, implement mitigation plans, and pursue value engineering opportunities.
• Oversee quality assurance, safety planning, contract compliance, and project closeout requirements.
• Mentor team members, assign work, establish goals, and support performance and career development.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience as a Project Manager or in a comparable position.
• Commercial or data center construction experience with a general contractor is required.
• Industry-related college degree required; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated experience leading, developing, and mentoring project teams.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organization, analytical, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience with JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, or P6 is preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.
