Senior Project Manager I

Job Summary

Mortenson seeks a senior project leader to oversee one major project or several projects, guide the team, and deliver strong results in quality, schedule, safety, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project financial performance, forecasts, estimates, cost coding, invoices, and owner billings.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, budgets, selections, change orders, and approvals.
• Lead and mentor assistant project managers and project engineers through assignments and training.
• Serve as the primary contact for owners and site representatives, resolving concerns while overseeing schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and compliance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least eight years of construction management, project management, or related experience.
• Experience handling responsibilities across multiple large, complex projects.
• Communication, listening, customer service, and professional relationship skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction law and business practices; intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and web application skills.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $144,300-$216,500, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
