Senior Project Manager I - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a senior project leader to oversee healthcare construction work, guide project teams, maintain client relationships, and deliver projects with strong quality, safety, and schedule performance.

Project Details

The role focuses on healthcare construction and may oversee one large project or several complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project financial performance, forecasts, cost coding, invoices, and owner billings.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, budgets, selections, change orders, and approvals.
• Lead and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers through assignments and training.
• Serve as the primary contact for owners and on-site representatives, resolving concerns and maintaining project communication.
• Manage project schedule, budget, quality, risk, safety, and compliance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least eight years of construction management, project management, or related experience.
• Experience handling responsibilities across multiple large, complex projects.
• Working knowledge of construction law and business practices, plus intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and web application skills.
• Strong communication, listening, and customer service skills; current driver's license.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $144,300-$216,500, with location-based increases in certain markets, and the role is eligible for an incentive plan.
