Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its traveling industrial construction team. This role leads project administration and field coordination while protecting quality, financial performance, stakeholder relationships, and team development.

Project Details

The position supports industrial construction assignments, including multiple medium-sized projects, individual large projects, or defined scopes within complex projects. Semiconductor construction experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain schedules, manage long-lead materials, and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Negotiate change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders while overseeing project buyout.
  • Prepare status reporting, owner billings, financial risk reviews, and value-engineering recommendations.
  • Coordinate safety planning, preconstruction activities, constructability reviews, and contract compliance.
  • Guide staffing, assignments, professional development, and performance decisions.

Required Experience

  • Industry-related college degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of construction experience, including project management responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success leading, teaching, developing, and mentoring team members.
  • Strong construction knowledge, business judgment, communication, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with or ability to learn project management and scheduling platforms such as JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, or Asta.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is required.
