Senior Project Superintendent - Building Group (Vertical Construction)

Job Summary

Kiewit Building Group is seeking a Senior Project Superintendent to oversee field operations for vertical construction and industrial EPC projects. The initial assignment is in the greater El Paso area and requires full-time presence at the project site.

Project Details

The Building Group delivers office, industrial, education, hospitality, healthcare, transportation, technology, manufacturing, retail, and tenant improvement projects using general construction, construction management, design-build, design-assist, and turnkey delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Direct craft personnel and monitor productivity, safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate field engineering, subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers, and other superintendents.
• Review drawings and specifications, resolve field issues, and maintain effective workflow.
• Support schedule development, labor planning, material quantities, equipment needs, cost control, and quality standards.
• Provide safety training and enforce project procedures, attendance expectations, and workplace standards.
• Address employee conflicts and scheduling challenges while communicating significant issues to project and corporate leadership.

Required Experience

• At least 10 years of construction experience, including 3 or more years in a supervisory position.
• Previous vertical building experience and general contractor oversight of subcontractors and trade partners.
• Advanced understanding of construction disciplines, union agreements, jurisdictional requirements, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and construction documents.
• Strong craft supervision, communication, organization, initiative, integrity, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel, relocate, work overtime and weekends as needed, and maintain reliable attendance.
