Senior Safety Manager

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Senior Safety Manager to guide safety programs across multiple construction project teams and sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the company’s safety program and coordinate efforts with project teams, trade partners, and joint-venture partners.
• Review site hazards, develop and deliver safety training, and monitor site work through audits and observations.
• Oversee safety records and trend analysis, lead incident investigations, and coach safety staff and project leaders.
• Support safety performance goals and incident response across the operating group.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma with CHST, OSHA 500, and the stated construction experience.
• At least eight years in construction safety, including management of large or multi-project safety programs.
• Experience on large, complex projects with substantial subcontractor workforces; safety team management experience is preferred.
• CSP is preferred. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100% are required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $113,500–$170,300, with higher ranges for select office locations. The position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
