Senior Safety Manager- Energy Storage

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Senior Safety Manager to guide safety performance across multiple construction teams and sites, supporting its energy storage work.

Project Details

The role supports energy storage construction and coordinates safety efforts across project teams, trade partners, and joint-venture partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the company safety program across the operating group and coordinate safety planning with project partners.
• Review hazard assessments, conduct site audits, and track corrective actions and safety performance data.
• Develop and deliver safety training and orientation materials.
• Direct incident reporting and investigations, advise on high-risk work plans, and support incident response.
• Mentor safety staff and help operating-group leaders achieve safety goals.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, or a related field; alternatively, a high school diploma with CHST, OSHA 500, and the stated construction experience.
• At least eight years as a construction safety professional managing large or multi-project programs.
• Experience with complex projects and large subcontractor workforces; managing safety professionals is preferred.
• CSP certification is preferred. A valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100% are required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $113,500–$170,300, with higher ranges for specified office locations. The position is eligible for an incentive plan.
