Senior Safety Specialist, Advanced Industries

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist to lead field safety coordination for complex Advanced Industries construction work in Hillsboro. The role supports project teams by identifying hazards, improving compliance, and strengthening safety performance.

Project Details

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers industrial and manufacturing, data center, and semiconductor projects for technology-focused clients. This position may support one major complex project or several projects, including controlled insurance program work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement project safety programs, inspections, audits, orientations, and corrective-action tracking.
• Evaluate complex safety, health, hazardous-material, equipment, and environmental risks and recommend effective abatements.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety programs and participate in project planning and progress meetings.
• Support incident investigations, root-cause reviews, injury case coordination, and safety incentive programs.
• Use safety systems to analyze trends, identify recurring risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Provide safety guidance and training, support insurance audits, and help develop training plans and delivery methods.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction safety experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a safety or health-related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction technology.
• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety requirements, environmental testing protocols, and safety management systems.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
