Senior Superintendent (Aerospace & Defense) - Orlando, FL

Job Summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations for a complex aerospace and defense construction project in Orlando. The role partners closely with the Project Manager and oversees jobsite safety, quality, schedule, and constructability coordination.

The position supports high-precision aerospace and defense facilities serving security-focused organizations and critical national priorities. Work requires familiarity with DFARS, ITAR, security protocols, and rigorous quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct, sequence, and coordinate contractors and trades to maintain safe and efficient project flow.
• Monitor productivity, workmanship, compliance, and alignment with drawings, specifications, and schedule requirements.
• Maintain the project schedule, daily construction records, and documentation addressing field coordination issues.
• Review shop drawings, contracts, and specifications to identify and resolve constructability concerns.
• Lead jobsite safety, quality assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Coordinate communication among the owner, Project Manager, contractors, engineers, architects, government agencies, and design partners.
• Mentor project personnel and support training related to safety, quality, security, and industry practices.

Required Experience

• At least 7 years managing large-scale construction projects; aerospace and defense experience is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of DFARS, ITAR, aerospace and defense standards, regulations, and security protocols.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and successful completion of an extensive background check required.
