Senior Superintendent

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Senior Superintendent to lead site operations and field teams across large, complex construction projects or multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct construction activities, assign work, supervise crews, and coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, and other resources.
• Partner with project managers on budgets and forecasts; review construction documents and coordinate design clarifications with engineers.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, site logistics, crew sizes, and utilization plans.
• Lead preconstruction planning and site meetings, select formwork systems and equipment, and implement the project safety program.
• Coach and develop field staff, support hiring and performance decisions, and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• At least 15 years of construction experience, including 10 years in a supervisory role.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management; alternatively, 10 years of trade experience.
• Experience with solar projects or oversight of large industrial power projects.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects, working knowledge of construction law and business practices, and intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $144,300–$216,500, with higher ranges for certain office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
