Job Summary

Mortenson seeks a Senior Superintendent to oversee field operations and crews across multiple projects or large, complex construction assignments.

The role calls for experience with solar projects or large industrial power work and may involve multiple complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct construction activities, crews, staffing, resources, and site logistics while coordinating materials, equipment, and inspections.
• Partner with project managers on budgets and forecasts, review plans for constructability, and maintain project schedules and three-week lookaheads.
• Coordinate plans with engineers, develop site utilization and crew plans, and select formwork systems and equipment.
• Lead preconstruction planning and site meetings; coach field staff, evaluate performance, and support hiring and career development.
• Implement the site safety program and maintain productive relationships with customers, designers, union representatives, and subcontractors.

Required Experience

• At least 15 years of construction experience, including 10 years in a supervisory role.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Experience with solar or oversight of large industrial power projects; demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, a current driver’s license, and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Working knowledge of construction law and business practices, with strong organization, communication, and customer service skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $144,000-$216,500, with adjustments for certain office locations, and the position is eligible for an incentive plan.
