Senior Superintendent I - Experienced Wind

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead site operations and field teams on large, complex construction projects, including wind work. The position requires full-time travel, with a three-weeks-on, one-week-off rotation.

Project Details

The role focuses on wind projects and other large industrial construction. Candidates should have experience overseeing large scopes of work exceeding $200 million.

Responsibilities

• Direct construction activities, assign tasks, and supervise large field teams.
• Build and maintain project schedules, coordinate materials, equipment, and inspections, and work with project managers on labor and resource forecasts.
• Review plans for constructability, coordinate with engineers, and lead site planning and project meetings.
• Coach field leaders, support hiring and performance decisions, and maintain productive site relationships.
• Promote site safety and manage worksite logistics.

Required Experience

• At least 15 years of construction experience and 10 years in a supervisory role; candidates with trade backgrounds should have at least 10 years as a superintendent.
• Experience with wind projects or large industrial construction, including large commercial-scale projects.
• Scheduling software proficiency required, such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• A degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Ability to lead teams of more than 100 craft workers, travel up to 100%, and hold a current driver's license.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $144,300–$216,500, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
