Site Safety Manager (Heavy Industrial/Mechanical)

Job Summary

Keeley Construction seeks a Site Safety Manager for an eight-month onsite assignment in Hillsboro, Oregon, with a possibility of extension if the project scope grows.

The position supports a heavy industrial/mechanical construction project in Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Oversee jobsite safety practices and OSHA compliance, including inspections, hazard controls, and corrective-action follow-up.
• Lead safety huddles, toolbox talks, orientations, and pre-task planning while coaching field teams and subcontractors.
• Help prepare and implement site-specific safety plans, maintain safety records, and manage PPE readiness.
• Participate in incident investigations and prepare for client, OSHA, and company inspections.
• Mentor junior safety personnel when applicable.

Required Experience

• Seven or more years of site-level safety experience in construction or industrial/mechanical environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards, hazard recognition, and field safety leadership.
• CHST, OHST, STS-C, or equivalent safety certification preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation and safety reporting systems; clean driving record required.
• Degree in occupational safety, construction management, or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted.
• Must be able to work onsite in Oregon and complete a selection assessment and pre-employment drug screen.
