Sr. Project Manager - Water/Wastewater

Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead water and wastewater infrastructure initiatives from its Los Angeles-area operation. This employee-owner role combines client leadership, project delivery, business development, and team development.

Project Details

The position supports municipal and government water clients across treatment systems, linear infrastructure, planning, asset management, and related water infrastructure modernization programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing, market strategy, proposals, client presentations, project budgeting, and contract development.
• Build and maintain municipal client relationships and support market and account growth.
• Direct project execution, including engineering manager oversight, performance goals, implementation, budgeting, invoicing, payments, and project reviews.
• Coordinate internal teams and owner representatives throughout project delivery.
• Mentor staff and recommend training, promotions, and team-building opportunities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 15 years of program or project management and technical experience.
• Water and wastewater treatment experience, including linear infrastructure planning and design, asset management, and related client needs.
• Business development and program or project management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles, applicable standards, and discipline-specific design guides.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The applicable California salary range is $161,183-$274,010 per year. Relocation assistance may be available, and hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days.
