Job Summary

Tutor Perini is hiring a Structural Superintendent for its Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation project in Honolulu, Hawaii. The role oversees elevated guideway construction and reports to the Project Manager.

Project Details

The HART City Center Guideway and Stations project includes six rail stations and approximately three miles of elevated rail guideway. The roughly $1.66 billion contract is expected to reach substantial completion in 2030.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structural construction to meet safety, design, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Plan and coordinate field operations, including scheduling, subcontractors, crews, materials, and equipment.
• Interpret drawings, recommend construction methods and equipment, and assist with schedules, logistics, and project procedures.
• Support the site-specific safety plan and coordinate with owner representatives.

Required Experience

• At least 15 years of construction experience, including 10 years as a superintendent on heavy civil concrete structure projects.
• Experience leading projects valued above $500 million.
• Knowledge of U.S. construction practices, contract management, and local trades and craft labor.
• Experience with government clients is preferred; high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS HeavyBid, or similar tools.
• OSHA 500 certification and current CPR/First Aid certifications.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected salary range is $160,000-$220,000, depending on experience.
