Superintendent 1 Mechanical, Mission Critical

Job Summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Superintendent 1 to support mechanical construction execution for mission-critical and advanced-facility projects in El Paso. The role offers a progression path to Superintendent 2 and requires coordination of field operations, people, materials, equipment, safety, quality, and project documentation.

Project Details

JE Dunn’s Advanced Facilities Group delivers data center, semiconductor, industrial, and advanced manufacturing projects. This position focuses on mechanical work within mission-critical construction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, self-perform activities, and overall site workflow.
• Develop work plans, manage schedules, track project information, and support budget and cost monitoring.
• Lead safety, quality, trade, progress, and owner-architect-contractor meetings.
• Manage site logistics, material and equipment needs, timecard approvals, documentation, inspections, and reporting.
• Communicate with owners, design teams, authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Support change management, procurement, project reviews, buyout, closeout, and pre-punch activities.
• Promote an injury-free, diverse, and inclusive work environment while helping identify and recruit talent.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of construction experience and 1 year of field supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management systems, accounting software, construction technology, Lean practices, layout, crane flagging, rigging, self-perform work, and labor productivity.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication, presentation, collaboration, and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions and non-traditional hours.
