Superintendent 2

Job Summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 in Tampa to lead field execution for fairly complex construction projects, coordinating teams, schedules, safety, quality, materials, and project documentation from start through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, company staff, site logistics, workflow, and self-performed work.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, work plans, reports, cost tracking, and required documentation.
• Lead daily, trade, owner-architect-contractor, and project review meetings.
• Direct safety, quality assurance, staffing, materials, equipment, procurement, and closeout activities.
• Identify project risks, support change negotiations, and coordinate with project management and field leadership.
• Build relationships with project stakeholders and help recruit and develop talent.

Required Experience

• High school diploma or GED required; a construction management, engineering, or related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least five years of construction experience, including three or more years in field supervision.
• Working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, project management and accounting software, construction technology, Lean principles, trade scopes, layout, and rigging.
• Intermediate communication, presentation, collaboration, budgeting, cost management, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work non-traditional hours when project needs require.
