Superintendent

Job Summary

Ames Construction is hiring a Superintendent to coordinate construction site operations and guide work to meet project plans and schedules. The role is based in Farmington, New Mexico, and is designated safety-sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Lead site crews and subcontractors, including scheduling work and allocating resources.
• Coordinate project budgets, estimates, materials, equipment deliveries, and timelines with project managers, clients, and suppliers.
• Track daily site activity, monitor quality and safety, and adjust operations to support deadlines.
• Manage scope and communicate with clients, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, and project staff.

Required Experience

• Relevant construction-related bachelor's degree and at least five years of construction management experience; superintendent experience is preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification and a strong understanding of OSHA safety requirements.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, design layouts, and other construction documents.
• Strong leadership, planning, budgeting, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel frequently and work nights, weekends, or holidays when needed.
