Superintendent

Job Summary

PCL Construction Services is seeking a Superintendent in Fargo to oversee field operations, coordinate project teams and trades, and deliver construction work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety implementation, workforce supervision, coaching, and team development.
• Coordinate employees, subcontractors, engineers, estimators, clients, and other project stakeholders.
• Build and manage project schedules, critical path activities, execution plans, and three-week lookahead schedules.
• Monitor productivity, quality, budget performance, documentation, and compliance with drawings, specifications, contracts, and subcontracts.
• Identify constructability concerns, schedule conflicts, project risks, and opportunities, then develop appropriate responses.
• Lead site and client meetings while maintaining productive stakeholder relationships.

Required Experience

• Journeyman certification or a related undergraduate or engineering degree.
• Approximately five years of progressive field supervision experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience supervising construction workforces and coordinating multiple project scopes.
• Knowledge of construction materials, specifications, methods, safety requirements, productivity, labor cost reporting, and project controls.
• Ability to use scheduling software, interpret cost reports, perform material and labor takeoffs, and understand contract language.
• Strong conflict-resolution, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and internal operational systems.
