Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in coordinating field operations, safety, schedule, quality, and trade partners on construction projects.

Project Details

Assignments generally involve projects under $5 million or a defined component of a larger, complex project. AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily site activities, trade contractors, materials, equipment, schedule, cost codes, and quality.
• Support site-specific safety planning, meetings, hazard correction, and incident reporting.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimates, project schedules, and closeout.
• Maintain effective working relationships with owners, designers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.

Required Experience

• Construction-related degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or high school diploma/equivalent and at least 7 years of directly related experience.
• Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, MS Project, P6, Excel, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Understanding of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual pay is $78,000-$124,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, PTO, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
